   Cattle Lack Support, Hogs Find Technical Footing

   Friday will be a busy day for the market as the monthly Cattle on Feed
report will be released and some more cash cattle trade could develop.

GENERAL COMMENTS:

   The livestock complex closed mixed, with the cattle contracts continuing
their downward trend for the day, but the lean hog contracts stumbled into some
technical support. No new cash cattle trade developed throughout the day.
December corn is down 3 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is down
$4.90. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 386.51 points and the NASDAQ is
down 486.18 points.
